  • Sunday School Program: open to 4 & 5 year olds

  • Unfortunately, we are unable to hold our in-person Sunday School program for 4- and 5-year-olds this fall. We hope the resources listed below will help you build your family’s Catholic faith at home with our youngest parishioners while we await the day that we can safely resume our inperson program.

This month we are highlighting All Saints Day (November 1st):

“Catholic Icing” has a variety of ideas for celebrating All Saints Day and individual Saint Feast Days throughout the year with your children. Children can relate to different saints by their name, their own birthday, and what each saint represents. Other great ideas on this blog include All Saints Day crafts like paper bag saint puppets and printable saints for every letter of the alphabet.

This is another great blog for kindergarten level students written by Maria Gavin, a Catholic kindergarten teacher. She provides wonderful saint-related resources for parents of small children, including a video about saints (The Saints: A Brother Francis DVD), saint dolls and statues that are appropriate for young children (Shining Light Dolls & statues by Little Drops of Water), saint coloring books, and a couple of great books available on www.amazon.com (The Saints Are Watching Over Me and Saints on the Go!).

Book suggestions: All available on https://ascensionpress.com/pages/kids

Ascension Press has a kids section where you can order great Catholic books and games for kids up to age 12. Some of the books appropriate for preschoolers include:

My First Catholic Bible Stories Board Book
    My First Interactive Mass Book
    My Catholic Picture Bible Stories
    Preschooler’s Catholic Bible Activities

We will re-assess in January and determine if we will be able to offer some type of in person learning component in the winter/spring.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
